About Me
- Shane Ford
- Yardley, Pennsylvania
- When I was 23 I got my first job working in newspapers as a page designer. It didn't pay much but that was ok because I got to do what I loved, which was using words and photographs to tell stories of people's lives. In the end, I'm hoping to do the same with this blog, while at the same time, grow as a photographer, writer, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Thanks for looking.

On The National Stage
Severna Park Track Club warms up prior to the 4x1 mile relay at the New Balance Nationals Indoor track and field meet at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York City on Saturday, March 9, 2013.
Severna Park's distance runners added another chapter to a story book season today. They raced against some of the nation's best mile relay teams and finished 17th. The race finishes up the team's indoor competition for the year with outdoor meets just around the corner.

Coach A
Severna Park High School boys cross country and track and field coach Josh Alcombright during a cross country meet in Sykesville, Maryland on Friday, September 14, 2012. Josh and I go way back. We both came into SUNY Brockport together as freshmen way back in 1993 and quickly became close friends battling each other in interval workouts on the track there. All these years later, "Coach A" is still one of my best friends. He's had quite a year in 2012-2013. His boys won a state championship in cross country and the indoor track and field team has also had a good deal of success. I'm looking forward to documenting his 4x1 mile team on Saturday during the New Balance National Indoor track and field championships at the Armory in New York. |
