Yesterday I brought my camera into work. While walking to the office I noticed some people gathering in Times Square. I walked over to check out what was going on and discovered the Street Soccer USA league. I was only able to stay and shoot for about 15 minutes and all I had was my 10-22 lens, but that worked out ok as it did a nice job of setting a sense of place.
About Me
- Shane Ford
- Yardley, Pennsylvania
- When I was 23 I got my first job working in newspapers as a page designer. It didn't pay much but that was ok because I got to do what I loved, which was using words and photographs to tell stories of people's lives. In the end, I'm hoping to do the same with this blog, while at the same time, grow as a photographer, writer, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Thanks for looking.

Mets Season Sliding Away
Washington Nationals short stop Danny Espinosa slides safely into home as the ball gets away from New York Mets catcher Josh Thole at Citi Field on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. |
I made my way to Citi Field this afternoon to shoot the Washington National/New York Mets game for The Wall Street Journal. This is one of the few frames I liked from the take. The Mets season continued to spiral today as the Nationals stopped an eighth inning rally and won the game 5-2. I realize I've been beyond slow to update this thing. I'll try and keep up with it better going forward and below are a few more shots from the game...

Eyes On The Ball
New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano connects on a two-run home run against the Cleveland Indians at Yankee Stadium on June 27, 2012. I covered my first game for The Wall Street Journal since April last week. This shot didn't make the paper but it was one that I kind of liked. Cano has been on fire recently for the Yankees, coming through with a big hit top the Rays today. Below are some other shots from the game. Thanks for looking! |
