About Me

My photo
Yardley, Pennsylvania
When I was 23 I got my first job working in newspapers as a page designer. It didn't pay much but that was ok because I got to do what I loved, which was using words and photographs to tell stories of people's lives. In the end, I'm hoping to do the same with this blog, while at the same time, grow as a photographer, writer, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Thanks for looking.

Pre-Race Sillo

St. Catherines Rowing Club's Lindsay Sferrazza warms up prior to her second-place finish in the Women's Lightweight 1X final during the U.S. Rowing National Championships on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. on Friday, June 27, 2014.

Shooting in the morning can definitely have its advantages light-wise. However last week during the U.S. Rowing Championships it was kind of the tough as the races started right into the sun. That being said shooting into the sun does offer the opportunity to shoot silhouettes and use the morning light in a dramatic way. The long lines of the ores and boats also helped!
