About Me

When I was 23 I got my first job working in newspapers as a page designer. It didn't pay much but that was ok because I got to do what I loved, which was using words and photographs to tell stories of people's lives. In the end, I'm hoping to do the same with this blog, while at the same time, grow as a photographer, writer, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Thanks for looking.

Cruising

New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka delivers a pitch during the sixth inning of a game against the Oakland Athletics at Yankee Stadium in Bronx, N.Y. on Thursday, June 5, 2014.

I covered my first baseball game of the year for The Wall Street Journal on Thursday. Aside from giving up a solo first-inning home run, Masahiro Tanaka kept Oakland's top-scoring offense off the board for six innings and picked up his ninth win of the year. With just one loss this season, Tanaka is quickly becoming the Yankees new stopper as his performance helped the team snap a four-game skid.
