About Me

When I was 23 I got my first job working in newspapers as a page designer. It didn't pay much but that was ok because I got to do what I loved, which was using words and photographs to tell stories of people's lives. In the end, I'm hoping to do the same with this blog, while at the same time, grow as a photographer, writer, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Thanks for looking.

Deja Blue

New York Mets right fielder Marlon Byrd reacts after striking out to end the Mets scoring threat in the eighth inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Citi Field in Queens, New York on Thursday, April 25, 2013.

I hit Citi Field again yesterday. Oddly enough, the game against the Dodgers unfolded very much like the last game I covered. Yesterday's game ended up being a tight pitching match between the Mets Jeremy Hefner and the Dodgers Hyun-Jin Ryu. Once again the Mets found themselves trailing by two runs in the bottom of the ninth. Once again they would homer to cut the lead to one run. This time by first baseman Ike Davis. However, Los Angeles was able to hold on after the homer for a 3-2 win.
