About Me

My photo
Yardley, Pennsylvania
When I was 23 I got my first job working in newspapers as a page designer. It didn't pay much but that was ok because I got to do what I loved, which was using words and photographs to tell stories of people's lives. In the end, I'm hoping to do the same with this blog, while at the same time, grow as a photographer, writer, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Thanks for looking.

Back Tracking

Uhunoma Osazuwa of Syracuse University competes in the high jump portion of the heptahalon at the IC4A Track and Field Championships at Princeton Universtiy on Friday, May 15, 2009.

After covering last week's New Balance Games at the Armory I decided to go through some track and field photos I've taken over the last five years. After a week of being under the weather, I finally got myself back out for a run today. I made it 1.75 miles before my calf cramped up. Oh the joys of being old and out of shape.

A Day At The Armory

Runners compete in the elite division of the men's mile during the New Balance Games at the Armory Track& Field Center in New York City on Saturday, January 26, 2012.

My friend Paul and I took a trip up to the Armory today to watch the New Balance Games and work on our photography. Watching an indoor meet definitely brought back memories from back in the day at SUNY Brockport. I really miss being in good enough shape to run 2 quarters and a half in one afternoon. Here's some other shots from the day. Thanks for looking!

X.T.R.E.M.E-ly Awesome!

Team X.T.R.E.M.E members blaze through obstacles at the Spartan Times Square Challenge in New York City on Thursday, January, 17, 2013.

I photographed the Spartan Times Square Challenge in New York yesterday for The Wall Street Journal. During the event I was lucky enough to see members of Team X.T.R.E.M.E in action. Simply put, these guys kick A$%! It was truly inspiring watching the team rip through the course. I just want to say thanks to you guys for everything you've done for our country!

Breakin'

Josf Ink of Brooklyn, New York works on some dance moves in Times Square in New York City on Tuesday, January 8, 2012.

I brought my camera in to work at The Wall Street Journal today. It was a pretty nice morning and not very crowded in Times Square for once. I saw this guy break dancing while a couple of his buddies took pictures and video. I asked if they minded if I shot with them for a while and they said no problem. This was one of the ones that I liked best.

Times Square Taxi

A taxi cab drives through Times Square on Seventh Avenue in New York City on Monday, January 7, 2013.

We got the goodnight note at The Wall Street Journal tonight around 12:20 so I decided to run over to Times Square to try and take a couple of shots before heading home.
