About Me

My photo
Yardley, Pennsylvania
When I was 23 I got my first job working in newspapers as a page designer. It didn't pay much but that was ok because I got to do what I loved, which was using words and photographs to tell stories of people's lives. In the end, I'm hoping to do the same with this blog, while at the same time, grow as a photographer, writer, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. Thanks for looking.

Andrew Wieland, Peter Gibson, Dan Kirrane, Kyle Traub, Matthew O'Leary, Joshua Getz, Andrew Hakanson, and Joseph Hanlon power Oklahoma City Riversport during the finals of the Men's 8+ Final at the U.S. Rowing Championships in West Windsor, New Jersey on Friday, June 27, 2014.

I spent several days last week photographing the U.S. Rowing Championships in West Windsor, NJ. Not a bad way to spend a coupe of nice June mornings! This was one of my favorites of the week.

Congratulations Marina and Kyle!

Marina Angelicola and Kyle Richardson recess from their wedding ceremony at Turning Stone Casino in Syracuse, N.Y. on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

I made my way back up to central New York a couple of weeks ago to help out on a wedding with Keech Photography
Marina and Kyle had to wait out some rain before their ceremony, but it was worth waiting. After a short delay, the evening sun came out making for a beautiful ceremony. And what an awesome couple! Thanks again Amy and Guy for inviting me out there. Looking forward to shooting together again.

Fired Up

New York Yankees relief pitcher Adam Warren celebrates after striking out Oakland Athletics left fielder Yoenis Cespedes to get out of an eighth-inning jam at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on Thursday, June 5, 2014.

Adam Warren found himself in a tight spot during Thursday's game when back to back Oakland hitters singled to put two on with no outs. As the inning progressed Warren began to work his way out of trouble with some help from right fielder Ichiro Suzuki, who made a diving catch. With two outs Warren faced Yoenis Cespedes with runners on second and third. I stayed on Warren hoping he'd react big if he got Cespedes out. Glad I did as this is probably my favorite shot of the game.

Cruising

New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka delivers a pitch during the sixth inning of a game against the Oakland Athletics at Yankee Stadium in Bronx, N.Y. on Thursday, June 5, 2014.

I covered my first baseball game of the year for The Wall Street Journal on Thursday. Aside from giving up a solo first-inning home run, Masahiro Tanaka kept Oakland's top-scoring offense off the board for six innings and picked up his ninth win of the year. With just one loss this season, Tanaka is quickly becoming the Yankees new stopper as his performance helped the team snap a four-game skid.
